Città di Viterbo

La città di Viterbo è il capoluogo della omonima provincia, nel nord del Lazio, in Italia centrale. Celebre anche come la Città dei Papi, è di origini antiche (Vetus Urbs) ed ha il più vasto centro storico medievale d’Europa e del mondo. Situata nella Tuscia (o Alto Lazio), si trova a 80 km a nord-ovest di Roma (i collegamenti sono ferroviari diretti o stradali SP1 e A1/E35/E45) e a 92 km a ovest di Rieti (i collegamenti sono ferroviari indiretti o stradali SS675).

Viterbo is the capital of the homonymous province, in the northern Lazio, in central Italy. Also famous as the City of the Popes, it has ancient origins (Vetus Urbs) and has the largest medieval historic center in Europe and the world. Located on the Tuscia area (or Upper Lazio), it is located 80 km north-west of Rome (the connections are by direct rail or road SP1 e A1/E35/E45) and 92 km west of Rieti (the connections are by indirect rail or road SS675).
